Wild Light Guest House

You turn onto a quiet cul-de-sac in a residential corner of Tofino and step through your own private front entrance into Wild Light. The upper floor of the house is yours, bright and spacious, with the kitchen, living room and deck laid out for a relaxed home base between beach days. Town is a short walk away, and the neighbourhood stays calm thanks to the dead-end road just past the cul-de-sac.

Sleep in Comfort

Each of the three bedrooms has a comfortable queen bed with fresh linens, so couples and families both settle in easily. The main bedroom has a small en-suite bathroom, and a second full bathroom serves the other rooms. One bedroom sits on the ground floor and doubles as a quiet workspace with a desk and chair. Extra pillows, blankets, hangers and clothing storage are all in place.

Gather and Unwind

The kitchen is fully equipped, with a stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, blender, coffee and tea maker and everything you need to cook a proper meal. It opens directly onto a large deck with a barbecue and outdoor furniture, the natural spot for dinner as the evening light comes in. Inside, the living room is bright and roomy with a Smart TV for streaming, and a dining table seats the whole group. A high chair is available for younger travellers.

Adventure at Your Doorstep

Downtown Tofino is a 5-minute walk, with whale watching tours, surf lessons and restaurants all close at hand. The beaches are about a 5-minute drive, or you can rent bikes and follow the 8 km bike path that starts down the street and runs out to the sand. In summer, Tofino Bus makes scheduled trips to and from the beaches, and most of what you need in town is within walking distance.

Thoughtful Touches

Free parking is available at the house, and you have use of the front garden. Dogs are welcome if you let the host know ahead of time. There are no laundry facilities on site, but a laundromat is a 10-minute walk away. In keeping with District of Tofino bylaws, the owner or a caretaker stays in a separate, private suite at the back of the house during your visit, and the rental stays fully private from it.

Come home from the coast to a quiet street, a warm kitchen and a deck built for lingering.
