Tofino Swell Lodge - Queen Room 1

Open your door and you're already in the heart of the lodge. This newly renovated queen room sits right beside the main living space at Tofino Swell Lodge, a family-run waterfront lodge on Olsen Road that has welcomed guests since 1984. The room itself has no direct view, but a few steps take you to a wall of windows and a patio looking out over Clayoquot Sound and the marina.

Sleep in Comfort A queen bed made up in crisp white linens, bedside lamps and clean, simple finishes make this an easy place to rest. You have your own private bathroom with a shower, a TV and Wi-Fi, and the room sleeps two.

Gather & Unwind Being closest to the shared spaces is the best part of this room. The communal living room has a fireplace, comfortable sofas, a long dining table and big windows framing the harbour, and the fully stocked kitchen is yours to use for anything from morning coffee to a dinner you cook together with other guests. Outside, the hot tub, fire pits and a garden patio with picnic tables overlook the marina, where the light at sunset turns the water pink and gold.

Adventure at Your Doorstep Downtown Tofino's cafés, galleries and restaurants are a 10 to 15 minute walk away. The lodge offers fishing charters and hot springs tours from its own private dock, so you can spend the day chasing salmon or cruising the coastline to the natural hot springs and be back by the fire for dinner. Chesterman Beach and Pacific Rim National Park Reserve are an easy drive for surfing, beachcombing and rainforest walks.

Thoughtful Touches Three generations of the Buhtz family have run this lodge, and it still has the easy warmth of a family home. The lodge is non-smoking and the rooms are not pet friendly. The room is reached by stairs. Check-in is from 4:00 PM and check-out is by 11:00 AM.
