Tidewater House

You climb the stairs to the upper level of Tidewater House and walk straight out onto the deck. Tofino harbour opens up below you, boats and float planes moving across the water, and the mountains of Clayoquot Sound stack up behind. It is a classic Tofino residence, renovated and sitting on a bluff a block from Campbell Street, so you are in the middle of town yet feel entirely private.

Sleep in Comfort

Three bedrooms give the house its flexibility. Bedroom one has a king-size bed, bedroom two a queen, and the third bedroom holds a double bunk bed that kids love. The house is ideal for four adults or a family of up to six. There is one full bathroom with a tub, and a baby crib, pack n play, high chair and children's dinnerware are available for the youngest travellers.

Gather & Unwind

Mountain and harbour views follow you from the deck into the living and dining areas and the full kitchen, which is set up with an oven, stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee maker, along with cooking basics, a baking sheet and wine glasses. Outside, the large front deck holds patio furniture, a barbecue, the hot tub and the outdoor shower. A 55-inch smart TV with Netflix access on your own account and a Bluetooth speaker cover the evenings in, and a washer and dryer keep beach gear under control.

Adventure at Your Doorstep

Cross the street and you are in the park, with grass, pickleball, tennis, basketball and a new playground, plus the Saturday summer market. The seasonal beach bus stops in Village Green Park across from the Town Hall, an easy way to reach the surf beaches without moving the car. Tofino's restaurants, cafes and galleries are a short walk away, and the harbour docks for whale watching, hot springs tours and Clayoquot Sound water taxis are just below. The float plane dock is a two-minute drive and Tofino Airport is 20 minutes away.

Thoughtful Touches

Private off-road parking on the property fits two vehicles. Check-in is at 5 pm through your own private entrance, and the owner lives on site in a fully separate downstairs suite, so local help is close if you need it. Wi-Fi, a laptop-friendly workspace, linens, hair dryer, iron and toiletries are all in place, and the home is covered by smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, a fire extinguisher and a first aid kit.
