The Stemwinder Solar Lodge

The Stemwinder Solar Lodge is Simply Kimberley's newest and largest property, a 5,000 sq ft lodge at the base of the Kimberley Alpine Resort, 500m from the main chairlift and across from Trickle Creek Golf Course.

Sixty rooftop solar panels generate roughly 150% of the lodge's own power needs, making it a net energy exporter. Eight private bedrooms -- six with ensuite bathrooms -- sleep 12 guests in individual real beds, with no pull-outs needed. The main-floor primary suite has a king and twin bed plus a wheelchair-accessible ensuite; it's the only wheelchair-accessible property on Stemwinder Drive, with a ramped entry and roll-in shower.

The open-concept main floor centres on a custom dining table, a wood-burning stove, and a 10x10 leather sectional. A lower-level games room has a billiard table, wet bar, ice maker, and 65-inch Smart TV, opening onto the hot tub, a bocce pit, and a yard games zone.

Base rates start from $999/night (plus cleaning and taxes) for groups up to 12, with a 3-night minimum stay. The lodge is pet-friendly with a signed pet policy and $25/night surcharge.
