The Ravenswood | Mountain Escape in Crowsnest Pass

The Ravenswood is a two-bedroom micro-cabin at Kenai Acres, set among trees on the edge of the Crowsnest Pass. It sleeps up to six across two queen bedrooms and a pull-out sofa, and the bright open-concept living space is built around large windows that frame the surrounding mountains.

The kitchen runs off a large island with seating and full-size stainless steel appliances, and comes stocked with cookware, dishes, utensils, wine glasses, a blender, a kettle and a coffee maker with coffee and tea provided. The adjoining dining and gathering space works equally well for a group meal or a longer stay, and a dishwasher, microwave and toaster handle the day to day.

Beyond the living area the cabin has in-suite laundry, air conditioning, an indoor fireplace, room-darkening shades and a laptop-friendly workspace. A private deck with a barbecue and outdoor seating looks out over the grounds, and there is a garden and backyard to use. Board games, children's books and toys and a travel crib are on hand for families, and pets are welcome for an additional fee.

The cabin is best reached by car, with on-site parking for two vehicles. Pass Powderkeg ski hill sits just across the highway, and hiking trails, fishing, golf at the Crowsnest Golf Course and the shops and restaurants of Blairmore are all a short drive away. Winter brings skiing and snowshoeing, while spring and summer open up waterfalls, wildlife viewing and mountain biking.
