The Lazy Elk

Nestled in the Blaeberry Valley in the Canadian Rockies near Golden, BC, The Lazy Elk is a spacious 3,500 sq. ft. log-frame lodge set on 16 acres of private woodland with unobstructed mountain views. Hosts Charlotte and Andy live in their own home elsewhere on the property, so guests get full privacy with self check-in and no need to coordinate arrival times.

The lodge sleeps up to 8 guests across 4 large bedrooms, two with king beds (one convertible into two twins) and two with queen beds, plus 3.5 bathrooms spread across three floors.

A brand-new Beachcomber 750 Hybrid hot tub anchors the outdoor space, while inside guests will find a large, well-stocked kitchen, a games room with a pool table and log fireplace, high-speed Starlink wifi, and wood and pellet stoves for cozy winter nights. Numerous trails wind through the property's 16 acres of private woodland.

Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is less than 30 minutes away for skiing and riding, with the surrounding national parks offering year-round hiking, mountain biking, whitewater rafting, and snowmobiling. The Lazy Elk has hosted more than 200 guests since 2020 with a strong track record of five-star stays.
