The Homestead

You arrive at the edge of downtown Tofino and step onto a private rocky point that feels a world away from the street behind you. The Homestead sits high above the water with the mouth of Clayoquot Inlet spread out in front of you, and the first thing you notice is how quiet it is. Sea birds work the shoreline, boats slip past on their way into the sound, and in the evening the whole inlet turns gold.

Sleep in Comfort

The entire North side of this oceanfront guesthouse is yours, with three bedrooms across two levels and two full bathrooms. One bedroom holds a king bed, and two more are set up with queen beds, one upstairs and one downstairs, so a family or two couples can spread out. Fresh linens, extra pillows and blankets, hangers and clothing storage are all in place, and a pack n play travel crib is available for the youngest guests.

Gather & Unwind

The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee maker, along with cooking basics, kitchen utensils and wine glasses. A proper dining table makes it easy to share meals after a day on the beach. Step outside to your private hot tub and soak with the inlet at your feet, or pull a chair up to the propane fire pit and watch the light change over the water. Outdoor furniture and a garden give you plenty of room to settle in.

Adventure at Your Doorstep

Downtown Tofino is a one-minute walk, so you can leave the car parked and wander to world-class restaurants, cafes and galleries celebrating the vibrant First Nations community and its art. Trails and tennis courts are within walking distance, and water taxis from Tofino harbour take you out to island hikes and the waters of Clayoquot Sound. Surf beaches, rainforest walks and whale-watching tours are all a short drive away.

Thoughtful Touches

Keys wait in a lockbox by your private entrance, and the property manager will greet you and walk you through the house when arrival time allows. There is plenty of free parking on site. Shampoo, conditioner, body soap, a hair dryer and an iron are provided, and smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and a fire extinguisher are in place. Please note this is a quiet home with a 10 pm outdoor quiet time, and the on-site tenants live in a separate residence.
