The Harbourview Penthouse Loft

You climb to the top of the red building on the Tofino waterfront and open the door onto the harbour. Water, boats, islands and mountains fill the windows of this newly renovated loft, and First Street Dock and its little beach sit right below. Everything downtown is a few steps away, yet up here it feels like you have the view to yourself.

Sleep in Comfort

The primary bedroom is upstairs in the loft, where windows, a large fan and remote control blinds set you up for a proper sleep. Downstairs, a brand new pullout couch with a full mattress turns the living room into a second sleeping space, and a queen air mattress is available if your group would rather spread out. Linens, extra pillows and blankets are all provided. The bathroom has a tub and a spa-grade shower head.

Gather and Unwind

Mornings start slowly here. Make a coffee or tea and watch the harbour wake up, or pop downstairs to Savoury Island Pie Company for pastries and small meals. The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, stove, dishwasher, blender and wine glasses, and there is a dining table for meals in. In the evening, turn on the fireplace, put on some music through the sound system, pull out a board game or set up the pullout for a movie night with the ocean going dark outside.

Adventure at Your Doorstep

Walk out the door and you are either on the small beach at First Street Dock, where there is a kayak launch and picnic area, or in the heart of downtown Tofino. Chesterman Beach and the other surf beaches are about ten minutes by car. In winter, this is a front row seat for storm watching over Clayoquot Sound.

Thoughtful Touches

A dedicated workspace with a large desk, ergonomic chair and a dual monitor makes it easy to work a few days from the coast. Under the black bench behind the desk is a glove and boot heater for drying out after a wet day. The loft has a washer and dryer, free parking, a private entrance and Wi-Fi. It is smoke free, with no parties and registered guests only, up to four people.
