The Flats

You climb the stairs to The Flats and the view opens up: Tofino Inlet and its wide mudflats stretching out beyond the deck, shifting with every tide. This comfortable two-bedroom carriage house sits in Jensen's Bay, a quiet family neighbourhood between the inlet and the surf beaches, and it feels like your own private corner of Tofino.

Sleep in Comfort

Both bedrooms have king-sized beds. The primary bedroom is downstairs and has its own bathroom with a tub, while the second bathroom serves the upstairs. There are TVs in the upstairs living area and in the downstairs bedroom, and a travel crib is available for infants. Linens, towels and toiletries are provided.

Gather & Unwind

The open-concept living area upstairs joins the full kitchen, dining and lounge space under one roof, with a laptop-friendly workspace tucked in for a working morning. The kitchen has a dishwasher, oven, blender, coffee and cooking basics. Step out to the private deck for the view, a BBQ dinner and outdoor seating, then slip into the private hot tub or rinse off under the outdoor shower. The guest outdoor area is yours alone.

Adventure at Your Doorstep

South Chesterman Beach is a 5 to 10 minute walk, and Chesterman Beach itself is about 750 metres away. The entrance to Pacific Rim National Park Reserve is roughly 2 km from the house, and town is a short 5 km drive. The multi-use path starts at the neighbourhood entrance for biking and walking, and a free shuttle bus runs into town during the summer months. Please note the carriage house does not include access to the mudflats or the water.

Thoughtful Touches

On-site, off-road parking is available, along with a Tesla Universal Level 2 EV charger that works with Tesla and J1772 vehicles. A gear storage room keeps boards, bikes and wet gear out of the living space. Check-in is contactless. The owner lives on site in a separate building and is glad to help. There are stairs, inside and out, to reach the living area, so the home is best for guests comfortable with a climb.

The Flats is a calm, comfortable base for a Tofino trip, and the inlet view is a bonus you will not want to leave.
