Surf Haven

You arrive at a freshly renovated cottage tucked into a quiet residential pocket of Ucluelet, with a wide covered deck out front and the sound of the Pacific not far off. Terrace Beach and Little Beach are a few minutes' walk in one direction, and the Wild Pacific Trail winds along the headland just beyond. Inside, the space is bright, modern and open, made for coming in salty and settling down.

Sleep in Comfort

A cozy queen bed on the main level sleeps two. Up the ladder, the loft holds three twin beds, a fun perch for older kids or extra guests (the ladder is not recommended for young children). A built-in daybed on the main floor gives toddlers or small children a comfortable spot of their own. The three-piece bathroom pairs a bathtub and shower and is stocked with Carina Organics shampoo, conditioner and hand soap made in Vancouver. Room-darkening shades, extra pillows and blankets and fresh linens washed in unscented Nellie's soap round things out.

Gather and Unwind

The open-concept living and dining area is airy and light, with a dining table that seats up to eight for long, easy meals. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, utensils, a dishwasher, a blender and a drip coffee maker with a reusable filter. Complimentary coffee, tea, sugar, salt and pepper are provided, and your first mornings start with Foggy Bean beans roasted locally and organic Breakfast blend from Ucluelet Thay Tea. Nellie's biodegradable dish soap and cleaning spray live under the sink. When the rain rolls in, the TV and Wi-Fi are ready; when it clears, the covered deck and BBQ are waiting.

Adventure at Your Doorstep

Terrace Beach is 400 metres away and Little Beach is 550 metres, both easy outings for beach walks and a morning on the sand. The Wild Pacific Trail and the Amphitrite Point lighthouse are a 15-minute walk, with dramatic headland views over the open Pacific. Whale watching, boating, bird watching and wildlife viewing are all on offer nearby, and the multi-use path makes walking, biking or pushing a stroller into town simple. Tofino is a 35-minute drive up the highway.

Thoughtful Touches

Check-in is contactless. One designated parking stall is included, with free street parking for extra vehicles. Wi-Fi and a laptop-friendly workspace keep you connected, and the cottage is set up for infants and children. There is no laundry on site, but a coin laundromat is in town. One dog is welcome with prior approval for $50 plus tax; dogs stay off the furniture and are kennelled when you are out. Larger groups can ask about neighbouring cabins.
