Directly on the ski hill

Sullivan Stone 20 sits on the mountain itself, so the walk to the first chair is measured in steps rather than minutes. Ski out in the morning, ski back for lunch, and in summer roll straight onto Kimberley Alpine Resort's lift-served bike trails and hiking network. Kimberley Golf Club and the Platzl are both about three minutes down the road.

Bright and open

Over 1,500 square feet, and unusually light for a mountain condo — big windows, pale walls and an exposed beam over an open main floor where the living room, dining area and kitchen all run together. The kitchen has a granite island with seating, full oven and stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, crockpot, Keurig and drip coffee, wine glasses, pots and pans and full cooking basics. A gas fireplace warms the seating area, and there is a ceiling fan and air conditioning for summer.

Three bedrooms, eight guests

Bedroom one has a king, bedroom two a queen plus twin bunks, and bedroom three two twins — five beds across three private rooms, with two and a half bathrooms including a bathtub. Linens, towels and extra pillows and blankets are provided.

The gear room

There is a proper mudroom-style gear space by the entry with racks and a bench, which is the difference between a tidy week and tripping over ski boots for seven days. Small thing; you notice it every day.

The deck

The private hot tub is covered, so it works in a snowstorm as well as on a clear July night. Beside it are a barbecue, outdoor seating and outdoor lighting, and the mountain view straight ahead.

Good with kids

Stair gates, a baby high chair and a box of children's books and toys are already in the unit. Bedroom doors lock, the home is smart-home equipped, and check-in is contactless and available 24 hours.
