Ski to the door, then stop moving

Sullivan Stone sits on the ski hill itself, so #17 gives you the thing everyone actually wants: you ski to the door at the end of the day and you do not get in a car again. In summer the same doorstep puts you on Kimberley Alpine Resort's lift-served bike trails and hiking network. Downtown Kimberley and the golf course are a three-minute drive when you feel like leaving.

The living space

Around 1,500 square feet, laid out for two families. The living room is built around a stone gas fireplace with leather seating and a wall of glass that opens onto the balcony, so the light and the mountain are in the room with you. The kitchen has an island with seating, full-size oven and stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, blender, crockpot and Keurig, wine glasses, proper pots and pans and all the cooking basics, and there is a dining table for the whole group.

Sleeping ten

Bedroom one has a queen, bedroom two a queen, and bedroom three holds two twin bunk beds for four. A double pull-out sofa in the living room takes the last two. Two and a half bathrooms, one with a bathtub, and linens and towels are provided throughout.

The balcony

The private hot tub is out on the balcony under the mountain sky, alongside outdoor seating and a barbecue. Outdoor lighting means the soak does not have to end when the sun goes.

Practical things

Air conditioning for July, Wi-Fi at 100+ Mbps, a desk and desk chair for the morning you cannot avoid, smart TV with cable, washer and dryer, board games, a high chair, and free parking on the premises. Check-in is contactless and available around the clock, and bedroom doors lock.

Around Kimberley

The Platzl — the pedestrian heart of town, Bavarian facades, coffee and patios — is minutes away, as is Kimberley Golf Club. St. Mary Lake, the Kimberley Nature Park and the Bootleg Mountain trails are all short drives.
