## On the run, not near it

This is the real thing: the unit sits directly on the Main run at Kimberley Alpine Resort. You step out the door, clip in and glide down to the Main Express Quad. No shuttle, no parking lot, no carrying boots across ice. It is a ground-floor unit in the quiet South Tower, which also makes it the easiest arrival in the building when you are loaded with gear.

## Built for a family, or two of them

Eight people sleep here comfortably. One bedroom has a queen; the second has two queens, which is the configuration that actually works for kids and grandparents rather than the usual bunk compromise. A futon sofa bed in the living room takes two more. Two bathrooms keep the morning moving. Everything is on one level.

## Air conditioning and a proper kitchen

Air conditioning, ceiling fans and portable fans mean the summer months are genuinely comfortable, which is not a given up here. The full kitchen has a dishwasher, oven, stove, blender, kettle and a baking sheet, and there is a dining table with room for everyone. A smart TV and cable, board games for a weather day, and Wi-Fi above 100 Mbps.

## The complex, and what is shared

Rocky Mountain Condos is unusually well equipped for the price. There is a seasonal heated outdoor pool, a commercial hot tub open year-round, an outdoor play area for kids, a garden with picnic tables, and a laundry room. Be clear on this: the pool, the hot tub and the washer and dryer are shared building facilities, not private to the unit. That is reflected in the rate, and there is no hot tub fee on the quote.

## The view and the rest of the year

The complex looks across to the Rocky Mountains. In summer this is a biking, hiking and golfing base — Trickle Creek is minutes away, with two more championship courses in town, and Kimberley's Platzl is a short drive.

## Worth knowing

Check-in is contactless. Free parking is on the premises. There is no fireplace and no in-unit laundry.
