Raven Cabin - Chims Cabins

Guests keep saying the same thing about the Raven: they expected road noise and got silence. It sits toward the front of the property, closest to the highway on paper, and yet once the door closes it's one of the calmest cabins at Chims.

Sleep in Comfort A queen and a separate full-size double give four people real beds, not a fold-out arrangement. The one-bedroom layout keeps the sleeping area distinct, and a ductless mini-split heat pump runs in both the bedroom and the main living area so you can set the temperature and forget about it. The bathroom is generous for a cabin, with a walk-in shower and Jack & Jill doors opening from both sides.

Gather & Unwind The full kitchen runs on an electric induction cooktop with an oven and a dishwasher, and comes stocked with pots, pans, utensils, a fridge, a Keurig, and starter condiments. A 42-inch TV with Netflix handles the wet Vancouver Island stretches. On the clear days, the spacious deck and its mountain view does the job instead.

Adventure at Your Doorstep Chims sits on the west side of Port Alberni, five to ten minutes from the town centre, events, and local job sites, and it's the last accommodation on Highway 4 before Sproat Lake and the drive out to Ucluelet and Tofino, roughly 90 minutes west. Cathedral Grove's old-growth stand is 20 minutes east. Mount Arrowsmith trails, the Log Train Trail, and the Alberni Inlet salmon runs are all close enough for a half day.

Thoughtful Touches Private entrance, no shared walls, deadbolt locks, and one dedicated parking spot included. Two steps on and off the deck. Fresh bedding and towels, shampoo, conditioner, and soap dispensers already in place. No in-suite laundry, but a dedicated paid guest laundry room sits on site, and the office answers by text, phone, WhatsApp, or email.
