Rainforest Studio

You pull into your own parking space beside a private entrance, step inside and look up. Cedar ceilings rise overhead, light pours in, and the noise of the road falls away behind the trees. Rainforest Studio is a bright, thoughtfully designed retreat for two in one of Ucluelet's quiet forested neighbourhoods, close enough to town that you can leave the car parked and walk to dinner.

Sleep in Comfort

The studio is one calm, open room designed around simplicity. A comfortable queen bed is dressed in soft premium cotton linens, and a cozy sitting area beside it is where you settle with a book or a second cup of coffee. The spacious three-piece bathroom has a large walk-in shower and comes stocked with plush towels, shampoo, a hair dryer and the essentials, so you can pack light.

Gather and Unwind

The kitchenette is compact but complete for a couple: a mini fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee maker cover light meals and snacks between adventures. On arrival you find complimentary locally roasted Foggy Bean coffee, organic tea, sugar, salt and pepper waiting. Cleaning products come from Mint Cleaning, a locally made, eco-conscious brand. For quiet evenings in, there is a Smart TV, a shelf of books and complimentary Wi-Fi. Step out to the private patio, where two chairs sit among the trees and the fresh ocean air drifts in from the coast.

Adventure at Your Doorstep

Within a five-minute walk you reach downtown Ucluelet's shops, cafés, galleries and restaurants, Big Beach, Black Rock Oceanfront Resort and the trailhead of the Wild Pacific Trail, where the path winds along the headlands above the open Pacific. Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, Florencia Bay and Long Beach are a short drive away, and Tofino is about 30 minutes up the road, which makes the studio an easy home base for the whole west coast. West Coast Transit runs seven days a week between Ucluelet and Tofino, and bike and e-bike rentals are available in town if you would rather roll along the coast.

Thoughtful Touches

The studio is attached to the owners' home but has its own completely private entrance, patio and parking space, so you come and go on your own schedule. A friendly resident dog may greet you with a bark if she is outside; she is gentle and part of the neighbourhood charm. The studio is designed for a maximum of two guests, and pets, smoking, parties and filming are not permitted so the space stays peaceful for everyone.

Come for the trail and the beach, and stay for the quiet of the forest.
