You walk into a Nordic-style cabin where the ceiling lifts away above you, floor-to-ceiling windows frame the forest and a wood stove waits with kindling already stacked. The salt water hot tub is out back among the trees, and North Chesterman Beach is two minutes down the road. This is Tofino at its most stylish and its most relaxed.

Sleep in Comfort

Two separate bedrooms sleep four adults or a family, and the cabin is just as good for two. The upper bedroom is true cabin living: a lofted space overlooking the living area with a king bed on an Endy mattress and skylights overhead for star gazing. The lower bedroom is cozy and private with a queen bed and a 45-inch Samsung TV loaded with Netflix, Prime and Crave. A pack-and-play is provided for little ones, though note there are stairs to the loft.

Gather and Unwind

The lofted living area is bright and spacious, with bench seating pulled up to the wood-fired stove. The full kitchen is set up for a proper meal: a gas range, stainless steel appliances, cookware, baking dishes, cocktail equipment and stylish serving ware. Coffee drinkers get an Alessi kettle, an Espro French press and local Vancouver Island beans from Drumroaster. The bathroom is a small sanctuary with heated concrete floors, a heated towel rack and organic cedar and sage shower products from Oneka. When the surf is done, the outdoor shower is the fastest way to warm up before you sink into the four-person salt water hot tub.

Adventure at Your Doorstep

North Chesterman Beach is a two-minute walk away, and it is one of Tofino's top spots for surfing, long walks, lazy afternoons in the sun and watching winter storms roll in off the Pacific. Right nearby you will find a surf shop, resort restaurants, a coffee shop and a small grocery. Town is a seven-minute drive or a twenty-minute bike ride for more restaurants, shops and the Tofino harbour.

Thoughtful Touches

Free on-site parking behind the cabin fits up to two cars. You check in with a door code sent after booking, and the cabin has its own private entrance. Wood, kindling and fire starter are supplied for the stove, plastic glasses are provided for the hot tub, and there is a laptop-friendly workspace and Wi-Fi if you need to stay connected. Linens, towels, beach essentials and Nellie's-washed bedding are all taken care of.

Settle in, light the stove and let the ocean decide what tomorrow looks like.
