Offshore Surf Suite

You step through your own entrance on the side of a newer home and the first thing you notice is green: tall trees fill the windows and the forested backyard settles everything into a slower rhythm. Offshore Surf Suite is a private one-bedroom retreat on a quiet cul-de-sac in central Ucluelet, built for solo travellers, couples and surfers who want a simple, comfortable base close to the coast.

Sleep in Comfort

The bedroom has a queen bed with soft linens, hangers, heating and blackout shades so you can sleep in after a late storm-watching night. The bathroom has a shower and comes stocked with fresh towels, a hair dryer and Carina Organics shampoo and conditioner. There is step-free access to the bedroom.

Gather & Unwind

The living area is cozy and uncomplicated, with a TV loaded with Netflix and Amazon Prime for your own logins, a Bluetooth sound system, room-darkening shades and a dining table for four that doubles as a remote-work spot. The kitchenette is designed for lighter cooking rather than full dinners, with a mini fridge, freezer, hot plate, microwave, toaster, kettle, cooking basics, spices, dishes and wine glasses. Coffee is well looked after: a drip coffee maker, an espresso machine and a starter supply of freshly roasted Foggy Bean coffee from Ucluelet, plus organic herbal and black tea from local favourite Thay Tea. Books and a crib board are on hand for quiet evenings.

Adventure at Your Doorstep

The Wild Pacific Trail, Terrace Beach, Little Beach and Amphitrite Lighthouse are all close by, along with the cafés, breweries, restaurants and shops of downtown Ucluelet. Florencia Bay and the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve are a short drive, and Tofino is about 35 minutes away. The paved Multi-Use Path connects Ucluelet and Tofino for biking and walking, and whale watching, boating, paddle boarding and wildlife viewing all launch from the harbour nearby.

Thoughtful Touches

Outside you have a covered wetsuit hanging area, a rinse hose, an outdoor lounge area and a hammock strung in the trees. Free parking on the premises fits one car, with free street parking nearby. Check-in is contactless, and the cleaning products under the sink are made by Mint Cleaning right here in Ucluelet. A long-term local tenant lives in the home above the suite as required by Ucluelet bylaw, and they have a friendly dog.

Rinse the salt off, climb into the hammock and let the forest do the rest.
