## The best address on the hill

Northstar Mountain Village sits directly on the Kimberley Alpine Resort runs, and this unit puts you right on them. In winter you step out, click in and go. In summer the same door opens onto the hiking and mountain-biking network — over 50 km of trail inside city limits, in what is the largest municipal park in British Columbia. It is a year-round base, not just a ski week.

## Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, room to spread out

The layout gives two couples or a small family genuine privacy: a double bed in one bedroom, a queen in the other, each with a bathroom to hand, plus a double sofa bed in the living room for two more. Six people sleep here without anyone drawing the short straw. Cotton linens and towels are provided, and there is a bathtub as well as showers.

## The kitchen and the living area

A full kitchen with an island, dishwasher, oven, stove and every pot, pan, wine glass and baking sheet you would want, opening onto a dining table and a living room with an indoor fireplace and cable TV. There is an in-unit washer and dryer, so you are not hauling ski gear to a laundromat. Wi-Fi runs above 100 Mbps and there is a desk if you need one.

## Outside

The private hot tub is on the covered deck — yours, not the complex tub — and is charged as a separate CA$50 fee per booking. There is a barbecue with utensils, outdoor seating and a mountain view to sit with. Northstar Mountain Village also has a heated pool that guests can use; it is a shared resort facility, a short walk from the unit rather than your own.

## Golf, trails and town

Trickle Creek, the Les Furber-designed course, is minutes away, and there are two more championship courses inside city limits. Kimberley's Platzl, with its restaurants and cafes, is a short drive down the hill.

## Worth knowing

There is no air conditioning in this unit — the elevation usually handles it, but bring that expectation. Free parking is on the premises, and check-in is contactless.
