Where it is

The house sits on Kodiak Crescent inside Dreamcatcher Resort, at the base of Kimberley Alpine Resort. The lifts, the Nordic trails and the Platzl shuttle are all close, and Trickle Creek golf is minutes away, but you are far enough off the main road that evenings are quiet - the host asks guests to keep them that way for the neighbours.

Accessibility, honestly described

The main floor is genuinely wheelchair accessible and that is the reason to book this house over the others in the portfolio. The main-level bathroom is accessible, with a shower, mirror, two sinks and toilet, and the main-level half bath is accessible too. The king bedroom is on the main floor. What you should know before booking: there is no stair lift to the basement, so bedrooms two, three and four - both queens and the bunk room - are down a flight of stairs. Service dogs are expressly welcome, and the host invites guests with mobility, hearing or vision impairments to get in touch.

The space

Open-plan living, dining and kitchen with mountain views through the main windows and a fireplace in the living area. The kitchen is the standout: high-end appliances, wide counters and a full spread of cookware, which matters when you are feeding eleven. Air conditioning, room-darkening shades, a smart TV with a sound system, an office desk and chair, and fast Wi-Fi.

Sleeping

Eleven guests. Bedroom one has a king on the main floor. Bedrooms two and three are queens on the lower level. Bedroom four, also lower level, holds two bunk sets - an extra-long twin over extra-long double, and a twin over twin, rated to 175 lb each. Linens are high quality and beds are made up on arrival.

The Mountain Side Club

Steps from the back patio, shared with the rest of Dreamcatcher Resort: a heated outdoor pool open May to September, a large commercial hot tub open year-round from 7am to 10pm, a fully stocked gym, his-and-hers saunas and showers, a ping pong table, tennis, and a lounge with a smart TV. The hot tub, pool, sauna and gym here are shared facilities, not private ones.

Outside

Deck and patio with a barbecue, outdoor furniture, outdoor lighting, a fire pit and a garden. There is an EV car charger on site and free parking on the premises.

Practical

Contactless 24-hour check-in, European-style front-loading washer and dryer with detergent supplied, stair gates and a high chair for small children, a carbon monoxide detector, and professional cleaning after every stay.
