The Hummingbird is the cabin you book when you want the world to be quiet. Three hundred and forty square feet, designed for two, with the bedroom tucked at the back of the building where nothing reaches it.

Sleep in Comfort A queen bed sits in a proper enclosed bedroom at the rear of the cabin, set deliberately away from the entrance and the highway. A ductless mini-split heat pump serves both the bedroom and the main area, so you're not choosing between a cold room and a warm one. The bathroom off the bedroom is unusually generous for a cabin this size, with a walk-in shower and Jack & Jill doors so it opens from both sides.

Gather & Unwind The kitchen doesn't cut corners for the smaller footprint: electric induction cooktop, oven, dishwasher, fridge, Keurig, and the pots, pans, utensils, and starter condiments standard across the property. A 42-inch TV with Netflix covers the wet evenings. The rest of the time, the spacious covered deck and its mountain view is where you'll actually be.

Adventure at Your Doorstep Chims sits on the west side of Port Alberni, five to ten minutes from town, and it's the last accommodation on Highway 4 before Sproat Lake and the run out to Ucluelet and Tofino, roughly 90 minutes west. Cathedral Grove's old-growth Douglas firs are 20 minutes east. Mount Arrowsmith trails, the Log Train Trail, and Alberni Inlet fishing are all inside an easy drive, and the Tseshaht Market deli up the road handles breakfast when you'd rather not cook.

Thoughtful Touches Private entrance, no shared walls, deadbolt locks, and one dedicated parking spot included. Two steps on and off the deck. Fresh bedding and towels, shampoo, conditioner, and soap dispensers are already in place. No in-suite laundry here, but a dedicated paid guest laundry room sits on site.

Small, quiet, and finished properly, which is the whole point.
