Ebb and Flow

You arrive to find the door unlocked and the key waiting on the table. Inside, Ebb and Flow is bright and open, a playful mix of west coast and mid century modern design, and through the windows Clayoquot Sound sits just across the road. The south-facing deck out front is almost as big as the suite, and it catches every bit of Tofino sunshine.

Sleep in Comfort

The suite has one bedroom and sleeps up to four across two beds, with extra pillows and blankets on hand and room darkening shades for late mornings. Families travelling with little ones will find a baby crib, a pack n play travel crib and a baby bath already here, so there is less to pack.

Gather and Unwind

The open layout is built for social dinners. The kitchen has everything you need to cook, from a full oven and stove to a blender, baking sheet, BBQ utensils and wine glasses, and there is a dining table for sitting down together. Put a record on the player, pull a board game off the shelf, or settle in with a good book. When the sun is out, dinner and drinks move to the deck, where you can string yourself up in the hammock or grill on the outdoor BBQ. Then there is the hot tub, waiting at the end of a day in the surf. Rinse off in the outdoor shower first, and leave the wetsuits out.

Adventure at Your Doorstep

The harbour and Clayoquot Sound are across the street, and downtown Tofino with its restaurants and shops is a five minute walk. The local surf beaches are about a five minute drive. If you would rather ride, the multi use path begins across the road and runs all the way through Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, linking you to the beaches without a car, though a car is still recommended for getting around.

Thoughtful Touches

Your hosts live in the main house, a completely separate space, and are a text away if you need anything. They have two young boys and an old, gentle dog who may politely beg near your BBQ. The suite has a washer and dryer, a private entrance, free parking, Wi-Fi and a smart TV. One dog is welcome with a $50 cleaning fee if you let the host know when booking. Quiet time outside begins at 10 PM in this family neighbourhood.

Ebb and Flow is offered for longer stays, and it is a warm place to settle into the rhythm of the coast.
