You walk up into a brand new home where everything still feels crisp, and the living room windows frame the inlet and Lone Cone Mountain. Climb one more level and you are on your own rooftop deck, facing the sunset with peek-a-boo views of the ocean. Downtown Tofino is a few minutes walk down the hill.

Sleep in Comfort

Three bedrooms sleep up to five, with a king bed in one, a queen in the second and a double in the third. Linens, towels, hangers and clothing storage are provided, along with an iron and hair dryer. One bathroom has a full shower with a generous tub, and the second has a shower. There is an outdoor shower too, for rinsing off sand and salt before you come inside.

Gather and Unwind

The kitchen is fully equipped and finished with a Breville coffee maker for slow mornings, plus a blender, baking sheet, BBQ utensils and wine glasses. Meals happen at the dining table or out on the upstairs south facing deck, where a brand new Weber BBQ is ready for grilling. In the living room, a Samsung Frame TV hangs like a picture until you turn it on, and board games are on hand for rainy evenings. Then there is the rooftop, the place to be as the light goes.

Adventure at Your Doorstep

Daphne Retreat sits in the new Gibson Heights subdivision, minutes walk from the shops and restaurants of downtown Tofino. The long sandy beaches of the Pacific Rim are a short drive away, and a car is recommended for getting to them.

Thoughtful Touches

Telus fibre Wi-Fi and a dedicated desk area make it easy to work from the coast. There are two parking spots and an easy walk to town, a washer and dryer, contactless check-in and check-out, and a private entrance. The owner caretaker lives in a side suite on the opposite side of the house. Families are welcome, though the home does not have baby gear such as a gate or pack and play, so come prepared, and children count toward the guest total. Bookings are verified through Truvi after you reserve. Please remove shoes before heading upstairs, and note this is a quiet residential neighbourhood with quiet time after 10 PM, no pets and no parties.

Settle in, head up to the roof, and watch the sun go down over Tofino.
