Cozy Mountain Studio

This studio sits on the eighth floor of the Moguls Building, just above the Village at Big White Ski Resort. The whole unit is one open, contemporary space with tasteful furnishings, and the ski run is on the other side of the back door. Park once when you arrive and leave the car alone for the rest of the week.

Sleep in Comfort

A queen bed anchors the living area, with a side table and a lamp on either side. The couch folds down into a bed that suits one adult or two children, which is what takes the studio to three guests. Fresh linens, towels and extra pillows and blankets are provided. The main bathroom has a large tub and plenty of counter space, along with shampoo, conditioner, body soap and a hair dryer.

Gather and Unwind

The kitchen is compact and genuinely stocked. You get pots and pans, cooking knives, plates, bowls, large serving bowls, silverware, coffee mugs, wine glasses, dish towels and rags. A drip coffee machine and an electric kettle handle mornings, and a small kitchen table with two chairs is where you eat. The smart TV covers evenings in, though you will want to bring your own streaming logins. Downstairs in the Moguls Building there is a communal hot tub and sauna, both open through the winter season, plus a ping pong table, a ski locker and a wax room for tuning up before the next day.

Adventure at Your Doorstep

The building sits directly on the Moguls Track run. You can ski in around the back and walk through the doors onto floor 8, which puts you in the hallway seconds from the unit. The Village is a five minute walk, with restaurants, shops, the market and the gondola down to Happy Valley. Underground Pizza, Fourth Ace Smokehouse, Sasquatch Sushi and the Cabin Kitchen and Bar are all worth a night out. When the snow goes, the same terrain turns into hiking, cycling and mountain biking country.

Thoughtful Touches

You get one outdoor unassigned parking stall with the unit. There is no washer or dryer in the studio, but coin laundry is available in the building at two dollars a load. Contactless check-in, an elevator, a deadbolt lock and free Wi-Fi throughout are all part of it, and Sierra Vacation Rentals stocks the unit with toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, coffee, tea, coffee filters, sugar, cooking oil, salt and pepper, foil, plastic wrap, garbage bags and dish soap before you arrive.

It is a simple, well-kept base for a ski week, and everything you actually need is already here.
