Cox Bay Cabin

You hear the ocean before you see it. Cox Bay Cabin sits directly across the road from Cox Bay, close enough that the waves are the soundtrack from the moment you open the car door. Cedar, hemlock and coastal plants surround the south-west facing patio, and the whole place has the relaxed, sandy-feet feel of a true west coast surf cabin.

Sleep in Comfort

The open loft-style primary room upstairs has a queen bed, its own full bathroom and a walk-in closet, with a ceiling fan for warm summer nights. On the main floor, the second bedroom is set up with two twin beds, ideal for kids or travelling friends. A double futon couch in the living area pulls out with a memory foam overlay for two more guests, bringing the cabin to six. All linens are provided, and a portable crib, high chair and baby gate are on hand for the littlest travellers.

Gather & Unwind

The living area is open and cozy, with in-floor heating underfoot, a gas fireplace, plenty of skylights and a full entertainment system with cable TV and a Blu-ray player. Board games fill the quiet evenings. The kitchen is fully equipped for real cooking, with a dishwasher, oven, microwave and everything you need to put a meal on the dining table. The cedar sunroom is the spot for morning coffee, and the patio outside has a BBQ, outdoor furniture, an outdoor hot shower and the hot tub for the end of the day.

Adventure at Your Doorstep

Cox Bay's public beach access is a few minutes' walk away, with no parking to find. Chesterman Beach is a short bike ride down the road, and the town of Tofino is 7 km away. The cabin sits right beside the multi-use path, so you can ride to the beaches, into town or out to Pacific Rim National Park Reserve. Long Beach Lodge and Pacific Sands across the street cover meals out, and a small complex 2 km toward town has more food, shops and a small grocery store. In summer, the public bus stops at the Tofino info centre, thirty seconds from the door.

Thoughtful Touches

The double carport gives you off-street parking, and the attached storage room holds bikes, surfboards and wetsuits with a surf board rack and outdoor hooks. A washer and dryer are in the same room. Dogs are welcome with notice and a pet cleaning fee. The owners live on site in a separate residence and are available if you need a hand.
