Chesterman Tiki House

You pull in with the rainforest at your back and Chesterman Beach across the road. Inside, the Tiki House is newly renovated and open, with the kitchen, dining and living room flowing together on the main floor and French doors leading out to the back deck, where the hot tub sits under the trees.

Sleep in Comfort

The main floor primary bedroom has its own full ensuite, which makes it easy to slip out for an early surf without waking anyone. Upstairs, two more bedrooms wait past the office landing. One has a full ensuite of its own, and the other is served by a third full bathroom on the same floor. A powder room with the laundry rounds out the main level. Linens, extra pillows and blankets, room darkening shades and clothing storage are all in place, and there is a drying rack for wetsuits and rain gear.

Gather and Unwind

The main floor is made for cooking together and lingering afterward. The kitchen has everything from a dishwasher and oven to a baking sheet, BBQ utensils and wine glasses, and the dining table sits right beside it. Out front, a large covered deck with a BBQ and outdoor furniture gives you an outdoor room that works in the rain. Out back, the smaller deck holds the hot tub and an outdoor shower for rinsing off the sand. The hot tub on a snowy day is a memory guests tend to keep.

Adventure at Your Doorstep

Chesterman Beach is across the street, one of the best known surf and walking beaches on the coast. From here the rest of the Pacific Rim is close, with Cox Bay and the trails of Pacific Rim National Park Reserve a short drive south and downtown Tofino a short drive north. Storm watching season brings the ocean to life right outside.

Thoughtful Touches

An upstairs office landing with a laptop friendly workspace keeps work days easy. There is an electric vehicle charger, free parking, a safe, a private entrance and luggage drop off. Dogs are welcome with a $50 pet fee if you let the host know when booking. A caretaker lives on site, and the host has plenty of local connections should anything come up. Quiet hours run from 10 PM to 8 AM in keeping with the neighbourhood, and the house is limited to six occupants under the local bylaw.

Come for the beach, stay for the hot tub in the trees.
