Chesterman Beach Break

You park under the trees, grab your board and count fifty steps to the beach path. Chesterman Beach Break sits directly across the road from one of the premiere surf breaks and walking beaches in Canada, and the whole house is built around that fact. It is a barn-style home made from solid cedar logs, recently renovated top to bottom, with a half-acre property and a sunny yard out back.

Sleep in Comfort

Upstairs you find two generous king bedrooms, each with large cubby holes built into the walls so you can unpack and relax. Downstairs, a queen bedroom is perfectly suited to children or visiting grandparents who would rather avoid the stairs. Linens, extra pillows and blankets are provided, and a playpen and high chair are available on request for the youngest guests.

Gather & Unwind

The kitchen is well appointed, with a fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and a drip coffee maker, finished with warm sand-coloured granite counters and a driftwood-cedar bar. Kitchen linens and dish soap are ready for you. The dining room and comfortable living room round out the main floor, with a TV, books for kids and free Wi-Fi. Both bathrooms have rain shower heads and comfortable towels, and the upstairs bathroom has his-and-hers vanities. Beach towels are provided too. Outside, the shared sunny yard has cedar decks, a fire pit, an outdoor surf shower and a BBQ.

Adventure at Your Doorstep

Chesterman Beach is the reason to come. Surf it, walk it or simply watch the swell roll in. A twenty-minute beach walk brings you to the Wickaninnish Inn for a massage at the spa or a meal at the Pointe Restaurant or Driftwood Cafe. The free hop-on hop-off bus stops across the road and carries surfboards, so Cox Bay and the town of Tofino are an easy ride away. Bike rentals in town offer another way to get around.

Thoughtful Touches

Parking for two cars is on site, check-in is contactless and outdoor security cameras watch the exterior. A washer and dryer handle wet gear. The hosts are a family with three medium and small dogs who live in the attached single-level home on the property, and they consider guest dogs on a request basis. Please bring your own bath and beauty products; a hairdryer is provided.
