Big Beach Escape

You walk down seven steps to the front door, key in the code, and the Pacific fills the windows. Big Beach Escape sits high above Big Beach on the edge of Ucluelet, and from the living room, kitchen and primary bedroom you look straight out to open ocean. Mornings start with coffee on the large patio, watching the swell roll in.

Sleep in Comfort

The large primary bedroom has a king bed, its own gas fireplace and direct access to the patio. Its spa-like ensuite has a double vanity and a spacious walk-in shower. The second bedroom also has a king bed and an ensuite with a relaxing soaker tub. A compact third room holds a twin bunk bed for kids, and a sofa bed in the living room adds flexibility. Linens, extra pillows and blankets, room-darkening shades, hangers and a hair dryer are all provided, and the suite is suitable for infants.

Gather & Unwind

Ten-foot ceilings and a gas fireplace anchor the open-concept living area, with a TV, books and board games for evenings in. The dining table seats eight with a waterfront view. The fully stocked kitchen has an oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, blender and drip coffee maker, plus complimentary coffee beans from Foggy Bean, Ucluelet's own roaster, and organic blends from Thay Tea. Outside, the patio has outdoor furniture and a propane BBQ. A washer and dryer are on site with Canadian-made, ocean-safe Nellie's laundry soap.

Adventure at Your Doorstep

Cross the road and you are on Big Beach. From there the Wild Pacific Trail winds along the headlands to Amphitrite Point Lighthouse, one of the best storm-watching spots on the coast. The Ucluelet Community Hall, bike and skate park and the paved multi-use path toward Tofino are all nearby, and downtown Ucluelet's cafes, restaurants and shops are a 15-minute walk or three-minute drive. Whale watching, boating, fishing charters and the harbour are minutes away, and Long Beach and Pacific Rim National Park Reserve are a short drive up the highway.

Check-in is independent through a private entrance with a keypad deadbolt, and a detailed welcome guide arrives before you do. One parking spot comes with the unit, with free street parking for extra vehicles. The suite is single level once inside. Dogs are welcome with a pet fee, dog towels included.
